University Library and Planetarium
On Thursday morning the students were shown the extraordinary University Library which is one of the most beautiful libraries in Europe. The librarian told us about its history and a lot of other interesting facts. After that we visited the University Planetarium and had a lecture there.
Field Trip (Bird-watching)
On Thursday afternoon we were driven out of Iasi to a few lakes and a University professor and her assistant showed us a few different species of birds: herons, swans, gulls, crows, ... It was a new experience for all of us, not only the bird watching with University binoculars, but also seeing the local landscape and villages.
Botanical Garden in Iasi
On Friday 25/3 (the last day of the project meeting) the students visited the local BOTANICAL GARDEN, where Scavenger Hunt & Organize a BioBlitz were organized. The students were divided into four transnational teams and each of them had to fulfil a series of tasks from the worksheets. As it was a competition, in the end there was an evaluation and later in the evening awards given to the students. The weather was lovely and so all of us enjoyed the wonderful day outdoors, a real plug into nature with new technologies.
