Class of Romanian language

On Tuesday morning all the meeting participants took part in a class of the Romanian language. After a theoretical introduction the lecture turned into a workshop and both the students and teachers from the UK, Spain, Italy and the czech Republic learned e. g. to conjugate the verb "to be", the basic pronouns and a few common phrases in Romanian such as greetings. It was interesting and fun at the same time.

Romanian is a Romance language spoken by around 24 million people as a native language, primarily in Romania and Moldova, and by another 4 million people as a second language. It has official status in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. It is one of the official languages of the European Union and the Latin Union.

In the YOUTUBE video below you can learn the Romanian greetings, too. Enjoy.

PAINTING workshop

On Wednesday afternoon the students took part in a painting workshop. They all worked collaboratively in mixed teams and created pictures with the theme of this project. It was a burst of creativity and a great chance to make new friends. In the end all the lovely creations were exhibited on the wall. You can see most of them in the slideshow below.

Cooking class

On Tuesday evening we were invited to a "cooking class". First we tasted a lot of canapés with various kinds of "humus". Then a chef showed us how to prepare a dish with prawns. Another great thing about this event was that it turned out to be a great place for socializing and an amazing opportunity to get to know each other better.
