The 2nd project meeting in Iasi

The second project meeting was held in Iasi (Romania) on 20th - 24th March 2017. For the teachers (two from each of the four partner countries) it was their second meeting but the students (6 from the UK, 4 from Spain, 3 from Italy and 4 from the Czech Republic) met for the first time. The programme of this meeting corresponded with the programme draft in the application for Erasmus + KA2 (since this eTwinning project is at the same time Erasmus + project) and also included some activities that were drafted for the meeting in Riga (the Latvian partners had left the project). On Monday the meeting started with a conference organized by an expert from the University in Iasi; in the afternoon we went on a guided tour. Tuesday was a day when all the teams presented their Chronicles, in addition to that we had a class of Romanian language and an eTwinning workshop where the students learned about the programme and also how to work in the twinspace. On Wednesday there were lectures about BioBlitz, Citizens science and iNaturalist web, species ID apps, methodology and techniques employed identifying insects and lab analysis of water. In the afternoon the students were in mixed teams and they painted wonderful pictures inspired by the theme of this project. On Thursday morning we visited the Library and Planetarium in the Iasi University and in the afternoon we went on a field trip to watch birds. On Friday we paid a visit to the Iasi Botanical Garden where scavenger Hunt and BioBlitz were organized. As you can see, the days were really full and packed with activities. When we had to part on Friday evening when a farewell party was thrown, most of the students were sad they had to say good bye to each other. It was a great and fruitful week and we would like to thank a lot to Diana and her team!
